Three held

CHENNAI, NOV. 10. Three persons were nabbed by the wildlife authorities for trapping 42 snakes in the nearby area of Vandalur Zoo today.

Mr. A. K. Ulaganathan, Wildlife Warden, said that Mookandi, Kannan and Nagarajan, of Paramakudi had killed four cobras, six rat snakes, three vipers and 29 `sand' snakes and they were in possession of their skin, when apprehended by forester, Mr. Anantharaman, and Forest Range Officer, Mr. Selvaraj.

The accused have been remanded to judicial custody.
