16 more Ministers in Marandi Cabinet

RANCHI, DEC. 1. The 17-day-old BJP-led NDA ministry in Jharkhand was expanded for the second time today with the induction of 16 more members into the Babulal Marandi Cabinet.

Of the 16 Ministers, all from the BJP, inducted today 10 are of Cabinet rank and six of State.

The first expansion of Mr. Marandi's Cabinet had taken place on Nov. 16 when 10 members, belonging to non-BJP constituents of the NDA, were inducted.

The strength of the Cabinet has now swelled to 26, out of which 16 ministers are of Cabinet rank.

The new incumbents were administered the oath of office by the Governor, Mr. Prabhat Kumar, at a simple function in the Raj Bhawan lawns here this afternoon.The Cabinet Ministers are: Yamuna Singh, Devdayal Kushwaha, Mrigendra Pratap Singh, Ramji Lal Sarda, Devidhan Besra, Chandramohan Prasad, Raghuvar Das, Arjun Munda, Pashupati Nath Singh and Sadhnu Bhagat.

The State Ministers are: Pradeep Yadav, Ravindra Rai, Sudershan Bhagat, Dinesh Shadangi, Neelkanth Singh Munda and Madhu Koda.

The Chief Minister, Mr. Babulal Marandi, and the Jharkhand Assembly Speaker, Mr. Inder Singh Namdhari attended the oathtaking.
