Easy for seeds

CALCUTTA, DEC. 13. The seeded players had it easy as they won the pre-quarterfinals of the inaugural Adhip Mukerjea Memorial AITA junior tennis at the Jaidip Mukerjea Tennis Academy courts on Wednesday.

Top seeded V. Vignesh of Andhra Pradesh continued with his fine form losing only one game against State-mate P. Vivek Reddy in the boys' under-16 category.

Third seeded Anshuman Dutta of Assam too won his match easily while second seeded Dhruv Kumar of Bengal and fourth seeded M.V. Abhayprakash were extended to three sets.

In both the girls' section too the seeded players had an easy outing with all of them winning in straight sets. The quarterfinals will be played on Thursday.
