No privatisation: Mamata
NEW DELHI, FEB. 26. The Railways would not be privatised, Ms.
Mamata Banerjee told the Lok Sabha today while presenting the
Railway Budget.
``We have already set in motion various reform measures and
efforts are under way to generate resources through non-
traditional sources,'' she said.
The Minister said, ``we feel that no reforms can be successful
without the people's full involvement and I would like to assure
the House that the Railways will not be privatised.''
