It's time for fun and frolic

Summer time, and for kids, it's fun time. Time to sit back and get rid the rigours of a gruelling examination schedule. And, time for unending hours before the television and those rapturous laughter at the antics of favourite toons `Scooby Doo', `Popeye' and `Garfield' and his bunch of friends. No homework to complete, no early breakfast and no rushing to catch the school transport. Simply relax and enjoy. It always made you wonder, why only one summer in an year. Can't there be more!

Come on, don't be greedy. Make the best of what is available. There are several programmes, events and offers that have been unfolded to make this summer more enjoyable for kids. One such is `The Great Toonage Rush' offer from the Life Style.

A cause for the kids to celebrate, is what the leading retail outlet says. The summer surprise for kids in the age group one to 12 years has been thrown open and include a wide range of activities -- all fun and play. Walk into the cool environs and sweat it out for a treasure hunt. Get the face painted. Sing a song or if you are good at narrating anecdotes, then get into story telling. There definitely are a lot of persons willing to lend ears for your stories. Be your creative best, for there are lot of prizes to be won. Those making purchases of Rs. 250 and above at the children's section can also test their mettle at coining slogans.

``At Life Style, we are trying to provide a platform for the kids to display their creativity, imagination and enthusiasm,'' says the managing director, H. Ramanathan.
