Pondy CM to hold talks with Jayalalitha

CHENNAI, APRIL 10. The Pondicherry Chief Minister and senior
Congress leader, Mr. P. Shanmugham, would hold discussions with
the AIADMK general secretary, Ms. J. Jayalalitha ``in a day or
two'' to resolve the impasse over alliance in the Union
Territory.
Indicating this here, the Pondicherry Congress president, Mr. V.
Narayanaswamy, who met the TMC president, Mr. G. K. Moopanar,
here, said a united secular front would be formed in the Union
Territory.
Asked if the PMK would be part of the alliance, he said, the
secular front as in Tamil Nadu would be extended to Pondicherry
as well.
