Southern States \| Previous \| Next Basavashree Award for Medha Patkar By Our Staff Correspondent CHITRADURGA, APRIL 28. The leader of the Narmada Bachao Andolan, Ms. Medha Patkar, has been chosen for this year's ``Basavashree Award'' instituted by the Murugharajendra Bruhanmath here. The award comprises Rs. 1 lakh in prize money and a citation. It will be presented to her at a function at the Math on May 5. The Union Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Mr. V.
