'Cong. to review support to Rabri'
PATNA, MAY 29. Senior Congress leader and former Minister
Ramashryaya Prasad Singh today said his party would reconsider
its support to the Rabri Devi government in Bihar.
Mr. Singh told newsmen here that the Congress had supported the
RJD to frustrate the designs of communal forces but the party had
not consulted them while taking important decisions.
He said the coordination committee meeting of the two parties had
not been held for a long time. Besides the Congress was unable to
play its role effectively due to the ``indifferent attitude'' of
the RJD in the State, he added.
The senior party leader said the common people and the Congress
workers were also not in favour of the tie up with the RJD.
Mr. Singh said the reservation quota of extremely backward castes
should be increased and the Karpoori formula implemented, and
added that there was an urgent need to provide reservation to the
poor among the forward classes.
