Girl kidnapped, assaulted

NEW DELHI APRIL 9. An 18-year-old girl was allegedly abducted and criminally assaulted by an RTV bus driver and his associate at Madanpur Khadar in South Delhi on Sunday. The girl, who tried to end her life by jumping into the Agra Canal at Sarita Vihar, was rescued by the police.

The incident came to light around 11 p.m. when two police personnel -- Jai Singh and Dhirender -- on a Police Control Room Van parked near the canal saw a girl jumping into the canal. They jumped into the canal and managed to rescue the girl.

Later, the girl, who is a resident of Madanpur Khadar, told the police that she was abducted and then criminally assaulted by an RTV bus driver, Ganesh, and his associate, Kishmat Ali.
