Mr. Naidu went into a huddle with the Minister for Home, T. Devender Goud, who returned from a two-week tour of China, the Minister for Major Industries, K. Vidyadhara Rao, and the party general-secretary, R. Prakash Reddy, in his Secretariat chambers on Monday. The meeting took stock of the situation and decided to convene the politburo meeting. The Defence Minister, George Fernandes, and Ram Vilas Paswan, spoke to Mr. Naidu today. The latter informed Mr. Naidu of his decision to pull out of the Cabinet and the NDA.
