TDP meet today

HYDERABAD APRIL 29. The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and the Telugu Desam president, N. Chandrababu Naidu, has convened a special meeting of his party's politburo tomorrow to discuss the Gujarat issue in the context of the censure motion against the NDA Government and formulate its stand on voting on the motion.

Mr. Naidu went into a huddle with the Minister for Home, T. Devender Goud, who returned from a two-week tour of China, the Minister for Major Industries, K. Vidyadhara Rao, and the party general-secretary, R. Prakash Reddy, in his Secretariat chambers on Monday. The meeting took stock of the situation and decided to convene the politburo meeting.

The Defence Minister, George Fernandes, and Ram Vilas Paswan, spoke to Mr. Naidu today. The latter informed Mr. Naidu of his decision to pull out of the Cabinet and the NDA.
