Kendriya Vidyalaya to have spacious campus

Pondicherry April 30. The Kendriya Vidyalaya (Number 2) in Kalapet near here would be housed in a spacious campus within 10 months, according to the Vice-Chancellor of the Pondicherry University, V. T. Patil. Addressing students of the Vidyalaya on the occasion of its 16th annual day here recently, he said the school would have the new building costing Rs. 2 crores in the university campus.

Dr. Patil, who is chairman of the Vidyalaya Committee, also distributed prizes to students proficient in various events.

The principal of the Vidyalaya, Ieeleen S. Theophelus, welcomed those present and read the annual report. S. Shankarana, vice-president of the Parent-Teacher Association in the school, was among those present. A cultural programme was held by the students.
