The Election Commission has said that voters should produce the photo ID cards and in their absence should produce any of the following documents which have their photograph: passport, driving licence, PAN card, identity card issued by their employers, property documents, student ID card, arms licence, pension book issued by the Government, train or bus passes, freedom-fighters' pass issued by the Government, residence proof, ration card issued prior to April 1, 2002, post office passbook, or identity card issued by the slum board. Documents related to property in which the photo of the head of the family alone has been attested would also be accepted.
