Over 17-crore doses of Belladonna-200, Calcarea Carb-200 and Tuberculinum are being sent to Primary Health Centres, Community Health Centres and Homoeopathic dispensaries for providing it 2.5 crore children in the State, according to B. Sohan Singh, Superintendent of the hospital. Giving details of the programme to the media persons here on Friday. Dr. Singh said the distribution of medicines would be taken up through anganwadi centres, schools and non- governmental organisations. An additional 10-lakh doses were being sent to each district to meet any shortage of medicine. District Collectors would play an active role in the programme. He said children in the age group of 3-14 years should be given one dose (four tablets) of Belladonna-200 for three consecutive days from August 1 to 3. On August 10, children would be administered one dose (4 tablets) Calcarea Carb-200, while one dose of Tuberculinium would be administered on August 24. A booster dose of Belladonna-200 has to be administered on October 1. Since there were no side effects, the medicine can be administered to all the children in the age group of 3-14 years to prevent brain fever which can strike at any time, he said. There were no diet restrictions for the medicine.
