The other members of the expedition included Shivjeet Singh, (Haryana) Sangey Sherpa, Pema Tsering, Thindup Sherpa, Darjeeling (West Bengal) and Sukhwinder Kaur (Punjab). The team members faced many difficulties like overcoming rock falls, snow avalanches and falling in crevasses. Sukhwinder Kaur was hurt due to rock fall near camp-III and Paramjit Kaur and Umesh fell in the 90 feet deep crevasse but were rescued by other members. The team started its return journey on July 17 after winding up higher camps established earlier and reached here on July 24. According to Mr. Rakesh Kumar, the Sesar Kangri peak is one of the highest peaks in the western Karakoram range of the Great Himalayas and is on the Old Silk route on Indo-China Border. Before scaling the peak, the members set up six higher camps after establishing their base camp ahead Panamik, the road ahead on route leading to Siachen glacier. The duration of the expedition was extended due to continued snowfall in that area. The Haryana Chief Minister, Om Prakash Chautala, had flagged off the expedition.
