Two-child norm

Sir, — With the highest court of the land upholding the "two child norm" it is time the political parties united to promote the cause. The NGOs can help educate the people, especially in the rural areas, on the need for adopting small family norms. Even the big corporate houses can be roped in in the drive. The fact that with a meagre 2.5 per cent land area of the world, we account for a whopping 17 per cent global population should no longer remain unnoticed.

R. Mohan,
New Delhi
