Control Techniques' new offering

CHENNAI AUG. 26. Control Techniques India, manufacturer of AC/DC drives and a part of Emerson group of the U.S., is looking at providing a total integrated drive system for processing industries to cater to the Asia Pacific market, according to Ramnath S. Mani, Managing Director of the company.

Mr. Mani said the company, which specialises in variable speed drives, would supply a total integrated drive system from India to the Asia Pacific market. The company has a unit in Perungudi, near Madras. It will continue to focus on the domestic market for its products.

Control Techniques India is a subsidiary of Control Techniques of the U.K.

Launching the company's new product, Unidrive SP, in the Indian market here today, he said the size of the domestic market for variable speed drives was Rs. 200-250 crores.

He said the product was a device that could be adapted and tailored easily and in a cost effective manner by both OEM and the user to best suit the requirements of a particular application.
