New RS nominees

NEW DELHI AUG. 28. The Reserve Bank of India Governor, Bimal Jalan, and the Chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation, K. Kasturirangan, were today nominated to the Rajya Sabha along with five others. The other "eminent personalities" nominated to the Council of States for a six-year-term are wrestler-turned-actor Dara Singh, actress Hema Malini, Editor of The Pioneer Chandan Mitra, Sanskrit scholar Vidya Niwas Misra, and social worker Narayan Singh.
