The stress was on the basics as well as on commonsense. "I told them things like bowling within themselves, handling the shine of the ball, using the crease, bowling in a straight line, the importance of not bowling no-balls... all these are important. It is like a game of chess, a dismissal has to be planned. "But nowadays I see a lot of young bowlers running in and just bowling. They need to know what they are doing. I found the bowlers here (in the camp) working hard. I will get back on September 5 and 6 and assess their progress,'' Kapil Dev said. Meanwhile the camp's second day had a warm start with the sun out in all its glory. The net sessions were watched closely by coach John Wright accompanied by Sunil Gavaskar and Kapil Dev.
