COIMBATORE: The regional office of the Textile Commissioner (ROTC) here is collecting data about the utilisation of technology upgradation fund scheme (TUFS) by the textile units, according to the director and officer-in-charge of the ROTC, Nagesh M. Mugadur. He told The Hindu that to evaluate implementation and impact of the TUFS, the Office of the Textile Commissioner, Mumbai, had taken up an "evaluation project" of the scheme. As part of this exercise he said the ROTC had already sent questionnaires to some of the textile units of various sectors under its jurisdiction and had also sought the cooperation of the industry associations.
