United India pays 25 p.c.

CHENNAI SEPT. 2. United India Insurance Company has registered a 11.8 per cent growth in business to Rs. 2,968.06 crores in India for the year ended March 31, 2003, with an accretion of Rs. 313 crores. The profit before tax was Rs. 214.15 crores against Rs. 156.69 crores in the previous year, according to a company release.

The directors have recommended a dividend of 25 per cent on the paid-up capital of Rs. 100 crores amounting to Rs. 25 crores.
