SNDP keeps all guessing

By Our Staff Reporter

KOLLAM Sept. 3. Contrary to expectations, the Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana (SNDP) Yogam is not likely to support any candidate in the forthcoming by-election to the Ernakulam Lok Sabha constituency.

The Yogam general secretary, Vellapally Natesan, while talking to media persons here today, in this regard gave ample indications.

Earlier, the Yogam had thought of making the Ernakulam by-election a testing ground for the launch of its political arm, Kerala Janakeeya Vedi (KJV). However, feedbacks received have cautioned that in case the Yogam support to a particular candidate goes awry vis-à-vis the votes polled by that candidate, it would prove to be a setback.

The Yogam council meeting scheduled to be held here today to take a decision on which candidate to support has been postponed. The ad hoc meeting would now be held only after the final list of candidates is announced.
