The stretch would be closed till the function, which begins at 10 a.m., concludes, the City Traffic police said in a press release. North-bound vehicles coming on Santhome High Road towards Labour Statue will be diverted at the following junctions: South Canal Bank Road, Santhome point, Karaneeswarar Koil Street and Gandhi statue. South-bound traffic from War Memorial towards Gandhi statue will be diverted at the following junctions: War Memorial, Adams Road, Labour statue and Kamaraj Salai-Bharathi Salai. Vehicular traffic coming from Radhakrishnan Salai towards Gandhi statue will be diverted at Natesan Road-R.K. Salai junction towards Triplicane High Road and towards Hamilton Bridge. According to the release, the invitees with red and blue colour passes will have to alight opposite Lady Willingdon College entrance and park their vehicles inside the college campus. Invitees with blue colour passes coming after 9.20 a.m. will "be allowed to park inside the QMC campus". The invitees with green colour passes "will be allowed up to QMC entrance on Kamaraj Salai" and have to park their vehicle inside the college campus. Vehicles without passes will have to be parked beyond Gandhi statue towards Light House in the service road and Slum Clearance Board towards Labour statue service road.
