Chirashanthi rallies well

BANGALORE Sept. 6. Mysore lass Chirashanthi Rajur showed lot of pluck as she battled her way into the second qualifying round with a 5-7, 6-4, 6-4 victory over Marutha Devi in the Indian Oil Servo ITF Futures women's Circuit tennis championship here today.

In another three-setter, Sandri Gangothri defeated Alice Joy 6-0, 3-6, 6-2, while Sandra Sasidharan prevailed over local girl Amoolya Raghunath 6-0, 3-6, 6-2.

The final set of qualifying matches will be played on Sunday.
