Announcing this here today, IGNOU said the induction programme will be inaugurated by the Vice-Chancellor of the University, H.P. Dikshit, at its Electronic Media Production Centre and the enrolled students of IGNOU would be required to go to their respective Regional Centres for direct interaction with the teachers and to get instant response to their queries. The programme - details of which have been posted on the IGNOU website at www.ignou.ac.in - will on September 13 witness a general session regarding regional services, student registration and evaluation and material production by IGNOU followed by ``Learning Through Distance Mode'' lecture by IGNOU Pro-Vice-Chancellor, S.C. Garg. On the first day of the programme there will also be an introduction of Bachelor Degree Programme (BDP) and Bachelor's Preparatory Programme (BPP) with comprehensive details about BA (Humanities), BA (Social Sciences), B.Sc., B.Com and Bachelor of Tourism Studies. The following day, the induction sessions shall include B.Sc., Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA), MA (Hindi) and MA (English). On both the days, the programmes would run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. From this year, IGNOU said a feed-back system has been built into the system and the coordinators would be required to fill information into the website and send it online to the Regional Services Division.
