Letters to the Editor
Sir, I appreciate the editorial, `A Limited Deal on Drugs' ( Sept. 3 ). It is alarming that the recent agreement reached on TRIPS and essential drugs is being upheld by many as a victory for developing countries and public health. The language of the recent agreement is intended to give voice to the interests of the U.S. and its pharmaceutical companies. Shalmali Guttal, Bangalore
