Sir, This refers to the editorial, `Retirement blues' ( Sept. 8 ). I agree that the Government's role is far from over. Given the experience of retirees in so-called developed countries, I would venture to say that many, if not most, Indians are not as yet investment savvy enough for such a bold step. All one needs to do is look back a few years to the debacle of non-banking financial institution when several investors literally lost their shirts. Mala Ashok, Chennai
