Ranbaxy unveils Cilenum

NEW DELHI: Ranbaxy Laboratories today announced the launch of Cilenum, a high-end anti-infective injectible drug.

"The product is a combination of imipenem with cilastatin, and belongs to the new class of anti-bacterials," a company release said here. The potential market size of the product is estimated at Rs. 150 crores. Commenting on the launch, Malvinder Mohan Singh, Regional Director, India, Ranbaxy, said, "The introduction of Cilenum will give the brand a first move advantage in the highly progressive market and further strengthen the company's leadership position in the anti-infective segment". — PTI
