Western Railway in lead

Kolkata SEPT. 9. The 26th All India Railway bridge championship commenced here today at the premises of Officers' Club, South Eastern Railway with nine representative teams in the fray. At the end of second round of matches, Western Railway, Mumbai was leading with a tally of 37 VP followed by the defending champion South Eastern Railway having 36 VP.

The points tally (after 2nd round): Western Railway, Mumbai - 37, South Eastern Railway Kolkata - 36, Eastern Railway, Kolkata - 33, DLW, Varanasi - 32, Metro Railway, Kolkata - 30, RDSO, Lucknow - 30, CLW, Chittaranjan 27, Kolkata Port Trust, Kolkata - 25, North Frontier Railway, Guwahati - 24.
