Falls victim to his own bomb

Mayiladuturai Sept. 9. Manoharan (28) of Authur was killed in a country bomb explosion at Naranamangalam near Manalmedu, at about 1.30 a.m. today.

According to the police, a group of five including the deceased went to the house of one Valli and demanded money from her. When she raised an alarm, neighbours rushed to her help and on seeing them, the group took to its heels.However, Manoharan fell down and the country bomb, he was carrying exploded, killing him on the spot, the police said.
