Rain likely in coastal Karnataka

CHENNAI SEPT. 9. Rainfall occurred at most places over coastal Karnataka and at a few places over south interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather prevailed over coastal Andhra Pradesh, Lakshadweep, Tamil Nadu and North interior Karnataka and dry weather prevailed over Rayalaseema, Telangana and Kerala.

The chief amounts of rainfall recorded in cms.: Sulya and Subramanya (both Dakshina Kannada dt.), Kota and Kundapura (both Udupi dt.), Kargal (Shimoga dt.) and Agumbe 2 each and Karwar, Honawar, Mulki and Puttur (both Dakshina Kannada dt.) 1 each.

FORECAST (Valid until Thursday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places over coastal Karnataka and at a few places over south interior Karnataka.

Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Lakshadweep and North interior Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin For Tamil Nadu And Pondicherry Forecast Valid Until The Morning of 11th September 2003: Isolated light to moderate rain is likely to occur over Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry.
