Mr. Shettar, who was here to attend a meeting of the Bar Association of Hubli, told presspersons on Tuesday that a delegation of lawyers from North Karnataka would meet the Chief Justice of the High Court, N.K. Jain, and the Chief Minister, S.M. Krishna, on Friday. It would be the last delegation from the region to visit Bangalore. Mr. Shettar said that he was prepared to accept any role assigned to him by Bar associations of the region and he was ready to take over the leadership of the agitation if they desired. He described the warning by Mr. Justice Jain to the striking lawyers that courts would be closed as "unfortunate".
