Our Bijapur Staff Correspondent reports: All seven nomination papers filed for the byelection to the Assembly from Hungund constituency were found in order during scrutiny on Tuesday. Official sources said nomination papers filed by Gouramma Kashappanavar (Congress), G.P. Patil (AIPJD), M.S. Patil (BJP), Basavaraj Kadapatti (JD-S), S.H. Karuva ("dummy" candidate for the BJP nominee), Usman Ghani Humnabad and Shashikant H. Patil (independents) had been accepted. Thursday is the last day for withdrawal of papers.
