7 killed in suicide blast near Tel Aviv

JERUSALEM Sept. 9. An explosion close to an Israeli Army base near a Tel Aviv suburb today killed at least seven persons and injured dozens in an apparent suicide attack that Israel blamed on the Palestinian Authority and the Hamas militant group.

The suspected suicide bomb blast occurred at a bus stop close to the Tsrifin Army base and the Assaf Harofeh Hospital near the suburb of Rishon Letzion. Security officials said there were many soldiers at the bus stop. — PTI
