Missing boy restored to parents

By Our Staff Reporter

CHENNAI SEPT. 9. One of the boys, reported missing on Saturday after the air show on the Marina, was restored to his parents at New Washermanpet this morning, after being cared for two days by a cobbler couple of Triplicane. According to a release from the city police, Charles was noticed by Yashoda, a cobbler, on C.N.K. Street. As the boy was unable to give proper address, her husband, Vimal, took him around different parts of the city on his bicycle to locate his house.

As the move failed, Vimal brought Charles back to his home and after reading reports of the missing boy, handed him to personnel of the Anna Square police station. A cash award of Rs.1,000 was handed over to the couple by the city police.
