Fatal slip for devotee

HYDERABAD Sept. 9. A resident of Domalguda, Naresh Babu (25), drowned in the Hussainsagar when he accidentally slipped into the water along with the Ganesh idol from the crane's lifting platform on Monday midnight.

Efforts are on to retrieve the body till late in the night on Tuesday. Naresh, president of local Vinayak Youth Association, went to upper Tank Bund for immersion of the idol. The Gandhinagar police have registered a case.
