Sharon condemns blast near Tel Aviv

By Our Diplomatic Correspondent

NEW DELHI SEPT. 9. The Israeli Prime Minister, Ariel Sharon, tonight condemned the suicide bomb attack near a Tel Aviv suburb today, which killed at least seven persons.

Speaking at a banquet hosted in his honour by the Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Mr. Sharon said there was a need to fight terrorism with determination.

Pointing out that India, too, was facing the menace of terrorism, he stated that his Government wanted peace. But, for peace to be established, there should be a full cessation of terrorism.
