Police said Ravindranath (43), a goldsmith and powerloom worker, his elder sister, Jaya (45), and mother Muniyamma, alias Ammani (75) were found dead in their house by Saraswati, a regular visitor, in the evening. In a suicide note, Ravindranath said they were committing suicide as they had lost all hope in life. Muniyamma was reportedly suffering from cancer, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (West), Chabbi, said. Saraswati had come to the house in the morning but went back assuming that the three were asleep. On returning at about 6 p.m., she found the house still locked from inside. When the door was forced open, she found that all the three were dead. Mr. Chabbi said Ravindranath was unmarried. Ravindranath's brother, Kanakaraj, was reportedly staying separately. The family was going through hard times financially, he said. The victims' bodies have been shifted to Victoria Hospital for post-mortem. Magadi Road police have taken up a case. Further investigations are on.
