Little sense

Sir, — I differ with the opinion in "Should we ban animal sacrifice in temples" (Sept. 9). It argues that if animals can be killed for consumption, there should be no problem in "sacrificing" them. Consuming animals for food is a natural phenomenon. But killing an animal for any other reason makes little sense.
