Autodesk, the global leader in PC-based CAD software, is offering two lines of hosted service to aid such collaboration. One is Autodesk Streamline, which is a project collaboration technology which enables a company to share manufacturing design and related project data instantly, easily and securely with its partners. The second collaborative service that Autodesk is offering is a document management system called Autodesk Vault which is integrated with Autodesk Inventor 7 software. Autodesk Vault stores and manages all engineering files regardless of file type CAD, text, binary, office documents, sound, video and the like.
