From e-learning to e-filing. The Chennai-based Soffia Software is picked as the technology provider for e-file programme of Indian Overseas Bank, an authorised e-return intermediary to the Income-Tax Department. E-filing is set to make return filing hassle-free for taxpayers. Soffia has, in fact, come out with a powerful tool for tax practitioners to handle large volume of salaried class assesses. It will provide all authorised receiving centres, agents of IOB, unlimited user licence either for use in their locations or that of firms, which opt for e-filing returns. The software, installed on the server of the corporate entity, will be populated with Form 16 data of all employees. Once this is done, it is that much easier for any employee to e-file his IT returns just by the press of a button. Worth learning, indeed.
