Joint military exercise

Leh Sept. 12. An Indo-U.S. military exercise is on for the first time in the Ladakh frontier region of Jammu and Kashmir for training in high-altitude special operations. Code-named vajra prahar, the three-week exercise commenced on September 5 in Leh, the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the strategic Leh-based 14 Corps, Lt. Gen. Arvind Sharma told reporters here today. — PTI
