Panel for drug testing lab

Bangalore Sept. 12. A consultative committee has been set up for the Karnataka State Drugs Testing Laboratory to improve the functioning of the laboratory. According to a press release, the committee will help make it a world-class laboratory and get accreditation for it from the National Accreditation Body for Laboratories. R.S. Iyer, former Director, Quality Assurance, Glaxo Laboratory, is the Chairman, the Drugs Controller, Karnataka, Suresh K. Mohammed is the Vice-Chairman of the committee. It has 12 members drawn from pharmaceutical companies, including six from the drugs testing laboratory.
