Kharge to witness passing out parade

TUMKUR SEPT. 13 . The Home Minister, M. Mallikarjun Kharge, will witness the passing out parade of 96 civil police trainees of the Bagalkot district police cadre, here on Monday. They are the first batch of trainees to undergo the nine-month foundation course at the Police Training School after its establishment here.

Construction of a building for the school is in progress at the District Armed Reserve Police Parade Ground in Sri Krishnanagar. Mr. Kharge, who is scheduled to reach Tumkur at 11 a.m., will receive a guard of honour from the police forces, inspect the "kavayat" and parade, administer oath to the trainees, give away prizes to winners of various competitions, and witness the passing out parade.
