VELLALA, (CUDDAPAH DT.), Sept. 13. The BJP State president, N. Indrasena Reddy, on Saturday called upon the party cadre to strive for the party's Mission 2004, which envisaged winning of 300 Parliamentary seats, securing single largest majority for the BJP and ensuring two-thirds majority along with the NDA allies, in the next general elections. Speaking after inaugurating a two-day BJP political training classes at Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy kalyana mantapam at Vellala in Rajupalem mandal, Mr. Reddy said the BJP had expanded its base among various sections of people and in new areas. He alleged that the Congress and then Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, had adopted the socialistic rule in vogue in Russia without considering the natural and human resources, people's needs and generation of employment. He charged the former Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi, with imposing emergency to safeguard her Prime Ministership in the wake of disqualification of her election and extended the term of Parliament members from five to six years, he said. The BJP district president, N. Bali Reddy, who presided, called upon the party cadre to interact with people in the `Gaon Chalo, Ghar Ghar Chalo' programme from September 25 and strengthen the BJP by enlightening the people on the NDA Government's achievements in the last five and half years.
