Social evils on the rise: Governor

CHANDIGARH SEPT. 13. The Haryana Governor, Babu Parmanand, today expressed concern over the growing menace of corruption, terrorism, violence and use of intoxicants and said that these were generating feelings of hatred and stress among the people not only in the country but all over the world.

Inaugurating a two-day conference on "Natikta and Samajik Nirman'' (morality and development of society) organised by the local unit of Prajapita Brahmkumari Ishwariya Vishawavidyalaya here today, he said it was necessary to follow the principles of equality, mutual understanding, high ideals and lead a disciplined life to get peace of mind.
