Supplementary exam hall tickets distribution from tomorrow

By Our Special Correspondent

CHENNAI Sept. 13. Private candidates appearing for higher secondary supplementary examinations to be held from September 24 to October 7, including ``improvement candidates'' can receive their hall tickets personally from distribution centres on September 15, 16 and 17.

Those who have passed practicals in the relevant subjects have the option of appearing again and improving the marks, says a release from the Director of Government Examinations, C. Palanivelu. Candidates who had failed in the practicals last time would have to appear for the same now.

Any candidate, who applied for the examinations but was not able to get the hall ticket, could write to the Additional Secretary (higher secondary) in the Directorate of Government Examinations, College Road, Chennai 600 006, enclosing proof and a self-addressed envelope (affixed with stamps worth Rs.5) to get details. No examinee would be allowed to write the examinations without the hall ticket.

SSLC/OSLC

Candidates appearing for the supplementary SSLC/OSLC/Matriculation and Anglo-Indian Schools examinations, beginning on September 26, could receive hall tickets in person at the examination centres from September 22 to 25.

Candidates who had applied for the examinations could apply now under the `new scheme' from September 15 to 20. The applications could be got from the regional joint directorates of government examinations at Tirunelveli, Madurai, Coimbatore, Tiruchi, Cuddalore, Vellore and Chennai. The forms should be submitted at the same office on or before September 20.

The new scheme fee would be Rs.625 for SSLC/OSLC. For matriculation, it would be Rs.500 plus Rs.100 per subject and Rs.35 as other charges; for the Anglo-Indian school examinees, it would be Rs.500 plus Rs.50 per subject and Rs.35 as other charges.
