New Commissioner for Archaeology

CHENNAI SepT. 13. In a shuffle of IAS officers, Sitharam Gurumurthi, formerly Special Commissioner of Town and Country Planning, takes over as Special Commissioner of Archaeology. He replaces R. Kannan, who was holding additional charge.

Vibhu Nayar, Joint Commissioner of Commercial Taxes (Enforcement), Chennai, has been moved to the Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board as Project Director, Tamil Nadu Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Project. He will function under the control of the Secretary, Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department.

Shanthini Kapoor, formerly Director, Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, New Delhi, on reversion to the State cadre, has been posted as Commissioner of Tribal Welfare, while Dayanand Kataria, who held the post earlier, has been posted as Joint Commissioner of Commissioner of Commercial Taxes (Enforcement).

K. Sampath Kumar, formerly Director, Anna Institute of Management, moves as Commissioner of Archives and Historical Research, in the place of N. Athimoolam, who has retired.

In a minor IPS shuffle, Anisa Hussain, Assistant Superintendent of Police, has been moved to the Vellore sub-division, in the place of N. Kali, DSP. T. Senthil Kumar has been posted as ASP, Jayamkondam sub-division, Perambalur, while Damore Deepak Motibhai, has been posted as ASP, Nagapattinam sub-division.
