Renowned law schools from all over India participated in the three-day domestic rounds conducted by the Chennai Law College at Chennai. The four teams which qualified for the semi-final rounds to represent India include the Indian Law School of Pune, NUJS of Kolkata, Kerala Law Academy and the Amity Law School of Delhi. The Amity Law School students who will be flying to Florida for the International rounds are Himanshu Dodeja, Ashish Mohan, Deepika Bansal and Karan S.Chandhiok. The Stetson University College of Law would host a day-long conference on International Environment Law on October 30 followed by the International Moot Court Competition till November 1. The competition categories in this would comprise "Best Indian Team", "Beat Foreign Team" and the "Best Speakers".
Building dedicated
The Chairman of the Standing Committee and Leader of the House in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, Ram Babu Sharma, dedicated a newly constructed building of maternity and child welfare centre at Welcome-Seelampur in East Delhi today. The building was constructed at the cost of Rs.50 lakhs. On the occasion, Ram Babu Sharma said the MCD was dedicated to provide maximum possible medical facilities to the citizens. He also added that polio vaccination would also provide at this newly constructed maternity and child welfare centre under the Pulse Polio Immunization Programme.
