Criminals nabbed

NEW DELHI SEPT. 13. Two persons allegedly involved in cases of robbery were arrested by the Delhi Railway police today. Six suitcases, jewellery and Rs. 32,800 in cash were recovered from their possession.

The Railway police received information that an Army havaldar was drugged and robbed of his belongings on board Karnataka Express near Delhi. The havaldar provided description of the culprits, on the basis of which the police launched a hunt and this morning nabbed the accused, Satish.

During interrogation, he disclosed that he had robbed the havaldar along with his accomplices, Zamil and Mohammad Irfan.

At his instance, the police arrested Irfan. Satish revealed that he along with his accomplices had robbed a man, who was returning after withdrawing money from a bank, of Rs. 1 lakh on May 14 this year.

Doctor stabbed to death

A 55-year-old naturopathy doctor was found stabbed to death with his throat slit at Dabri in South-West Delhi on Friday.

Around midnight, the police received a call saying Dev, a naturopathy doctor, had been murdered. Dev, who lived in a rented accommodation, had been stabbed in the arms and his throat slit. Dev used to live alone.

A case of murder has been registered at the Dabri police station and efforts are on to identify the culprit.

It is learnt that the South Delhi police a criminal, Anees, from the same area, after an encounter.

Anees was a member of Javed gang.
