Gowda demands dismissal of Modi Govt.

By Our Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI SEPT. 13. The former Prime Minister, Deve Gowda, today demanded the dismissal of the Narendra Modi Government in Gujarat. ``After the strictures passed by the Supreme Court, the Prime Minister has no course left but to ask Mr. Modi to step down,'' Mr. Gowda told The Hindu.

Urging the Prime Minister to act decisively in the matter, Mr. Gowda reminded him of his speech in Ahmedabad, in which he had asked the Mr. Modi to follow the Raj Dharma. ``We now have evidence of what Mr. Modi has been up to, Mr. Vajpayee and the BJP leadership cannot ignore this any longer,'' said the former Prime Minister.
